For first-responders, servicemen, tradesmen or outdoorsmen the Leatherman "Crater C33X" is an excellent and inexpensive EDC knife. And, as a bonus, it's proudly American made. The knife is well designed and very rugged, and the size is a perfect balance between not too big and not too small. The knife is set-up for dual carry via either pocket clip or carabiner, both of which are well thought out. Due to the serrations pattern, this knife is relatively easy to resharpen. Leatherman also offers factory engraving of your initials into the blade. A definite bonus for armed services personnel! If you plan on owning only one pocket knife, the "Crater C33X" would be an ideal choice.

Comments:

This budget EDC blade from Leatherman is a great little workhorse you can thrash on and it just comes back for more.
GOOD- price, blade design and cutting capability, lightweight.
BAD- tip down carry only (not how I prefer to carry), thick handle takes up room in your pocket, and the 420HC steel will not hold and edge very long.
