SITE INFO
Kniferating.com was created in 2009 in order to provide a previously nonexistant resource to knife buyers and knife enthusiasts. In a very short amount of time we have grown exponentially, and hope to continue to serve as the best knife review resource on the web!

The site is intended to become a collection of resources and reviews that are both accessible and useful to everyone no matter how experienced or inexperienced with edged tools they may be. We strive to promote good safety practices, provide unbiased information, and encourage everyone to write reviews and contribute to the knife community here!

We get some commonly asked questions, so we will try to provide answers to some of them below:

Q: Are you based in the United States?
A: Yes.

Q: Why do you use the metric system when referring to blade lengths?
A: The metric system is a superior, more intuitive system from an engineering standpoint. It is also easier to appreciate a difference in blade length of 2mm rather than .079 inches. But if you must, a quick reference to convert mm to in is the following formula:

in=mm/25.4 (or just divide by 25 for a rough calculation)

If we get enough complaints we may consider converting to inches on the site but so far so good.

Q: I don't see my knife but would like to review it. How can I do that?
A: You may suggest your knife here and we will usually add it within a day or two.

Q: People keep using acronyms or terms in their reviews that I don't understand. Where can I found out what these mean?
A: Check out our resources section for a list of acronyms and terms.

Q: I don't like something about the site. Do you take constructive criticism?
A: Yes, we are always looking for ways to improve the site. We are very interested in feedback, both positive and negative.

Q: How do I get in touch with the site admins?
