Cons: Too heavy for easy EDC. Grip chews up pockets. WAAAAY more knife than I ever need.

Pros: Beautifully made. Excellent materials. Solid overbuilt construction. Locks up like a bank vault. Shaving sharp out of the box. Action puts a big stupid grin on my face every time.

Overall: I don't care if it's overbuilt, heavy, scary-looking or overkill. It's my favorite knife ever.

Excellent knife. I use it as my EDC knife. Some people say it's a little heavy, but I find the heft to be perfect. No alignment issues and super easy to open. Good edge retention, easy to sharpen and the ergonomics are impressive.

As a knife collector and ex-military I never owned a better knife than the ZT0200.
It fits perfectly in my hand and its cutting ability is amazing. The ZT0200 keeps its edge for a long time and it is easy to re-sharpen. For a folder the ZT0200 is pretty heavy but I don't mind the weight.
The G10 handle is very rough, what result in a perfect grip but as downside it rips up my pockets.

love it and i do not understand why the other zt knives cost more ... but who cares, i wanted this one. it is the most beautiful of the zts. i gave it an overall 8 just to have room left for the real expensive knives. go for it, you will receive a high quality blade !

Carries comfortably in knife pocket of "tactical" pants. Clip is small and black coated, so doesn't call attention to knife. Grip is well shaped with a deep choil and nice texture. Blade is longer than that on 300 series and is easy to open (with no assisted opening feature to complicate function or to potentially fail). Excellent steel of nice thickness. Pillars and liners are also super thick and strong. Has excellent overall design and lanyard hole. Recurve design is only hard to sharpen if you don't know how to sharpen a knife in the first place--plus you can have ZT sharpen it for free. Solid and dependable, this is my favorite folding knife. May freak out white-collar liberals and little old ladies if used in many public places, however.

As a die hard Trump hating leftist, I also love the my ZT20o...the only thing that would freak me out would be not having it! Happy I got one before they were discontinued, I had a rotation and preferred lighter EDC's but the ZT has become my only EDC weight and all, its that good.

I'm a white-collar liberal. I bought this knife a couple months ago and it's nearly my favorite thing...right after my Prius.

I have lately become the proud owner of a ZT 0200. this knife has become my carry for every time that i go out of the house. I have not beat it too a pulp, but the 154CM holds an edge very well. The only flaw was the reason that it was a blem, so I will not complain. Even that was a chip in the paint. my only real gripe is that the pocket clip, when moved for right hand, tip up carry kinda messed up the absolutely amazing ergos. I can not recommend this knife enough. it rides really nice and thin in the pocket, for a folder of the size. The blade is nice and chunky, and we all know that chunkier is better ;). When it is flicked open, it puts a car door to shame. How many knives use a 3/8 inch bolt for a pivot? my only gripe is that the edge is pretty thick, so it is by no means a slicer. If you need an edc for any eventuality, then pick one up.

The ZT0200 at approximately 8oz is a tank of a knife. The blade locks up tight with no play whatsoever in either direction. The blade came centered almost perfectly, and opens silky smooth with very little effort. In my opinion the ergonomics of the handle is excellent. My hands are average size and the knife fits perfectly. My only negative thoughts on the 0200 are the overly rough G10 scales. Granted they give you a great grip, but they also tend to eat up pockets pretty fast. A minor complaint to an otherwise excellent knife.

I simply had to give the ZT0200 a 10 in all aspects, as anything else just does not fit the bill.

First a little background. When I saw these knives for the first time, in pictures, I was impressed and excited. Then when they became available, something just kept me from pulling the trigger on the 0200. Looking back on it, I really think that the price tag was so much lower than the rest of the lineup, and this meant low quality--evan at $130!

Eventually I decided to go ahead because I was reading so many positive reviews about it. When I arrived I was blown away! EVERYTHING about the knife was PERFECT! Now I'm sure that I sound like a fanboy, but I really believe what I have said to be true. The overall design of the knife has Ken Onion written all over it, with curves aplenty throughout the handle and blade. The build quality leaves very little to desire as everything fits together into a smooth handling package that feels great in my hand. The components are heavy duty all the way through the knife. The hardened steel liners measure ~.080" thick, while the blade is .157" thick and made from 154CM with great grinds and a razor edge from the factory. Lockup is very good, although I have read where the lock has slipped for some people. For me, it never slipped. Course I took it apart and gave my liner a little more bend to insure that the liner would not slide over without me making a conscience decision to do so. I've had it, and a few other 0200's, for 3 years and the lock bar continues to lock up on the blade tang in the original position before I "modified" it. As I stated above, the handle shape, along with the contouring of the G-10, just fits my hand exactly as I want a knife to fit it.

Finally, the cost of this knife is really low for what you get in return. I'm no stranger to high end production knives, nor custom knives (in the ~$500 range), and the 0200 built with the same materials in the same design, would easily bring a much higher price from a custom maker!

So this is my take on the ZT0200, a very fine, well built, well designed knife that is available to all for a lower price than you might think!!

The ZT 0200 was my first high quality knife. I have to admit that I was unsure what to expect from the ZT line, having owned Spyderco and Kershaws predominately.

The 0200 has exceded my expectations in all aspects.

Build quality is superb, the blade came centered and extremely sharp out of the box. This is one of a few knives I own that the liners actually perfectly match the outline of the G-10 handles. The machining of the G-10 is extremely detailed and provides a very comfortable and grippy surface.

The actual design of the knife with the pivot that can be adjusted with a simple box or open end wrench is one of the factors that sold me on the design. This makes for a very easy field strip and clean. Coupled with an open back make cleaning out the knife a very simple afair, just turn on the water and dry, no need to work around a backspacer. The pillar sculpted spacers give a feeling of elegance to a large massive knife.

I have found the blade design to be useful for many EDC chores. I like a blade with a recurve, this blade has a great belly that cuts extremely well.

The thumb studs are placed well for easy opening, but I always use the flipper, just the slightest amount of wrist action is required. Lockup is strong with a very satisfying clunk when locked. No blade play in any direction has been noted.

This knife along with my 0301 have filled my needs for a extremely high quality folder. I feel that these knives are a true steal in the market and should be considered as both EDC capable as well as a hard use knife.

I love this knife in every aspect except its weight. Its value over the ZT 300 series is immense. I am not paying $100 plus for Sv30 blades, frame lock and Ti liners. Also its not a pregnant shark like they are. I have both the 0200 and 0302 and prefer 0200 by leaps and bounds.

It is a blade that just feels great and prodides great satisfaction in handling, opening, closing and fondling.

Few knives in production class have similar value. I am surprised Strider let these go out to us which diminished value of his similar 4X prices production blades that I own as well. Profit in quantity but these have quality to boot. A must have knife for any guy.
