This is one of the better knives in my hunting collection. Nice and solid, light and sturdy, it makes cleaning animals of any size a breeze. I have been a Gerber fan for some time, but this really cemented my appreciation for them. I have used this blade on everything from small quail, to large game, and everything in between. The blade is not just stainless steel, it is a higher quality stainless with a few other elements, so the cleaning and upkeep are a cinch. The blade also holds an edge for some time, despite not being a high carbon blade. I have successfully cleaned several animals before having to sharpen this knife. I love the feel, and the full tang of the knife, I can really put my weight behind it. Also down the line, if you would like to customize the handle, the grip comes off fairly easily.
