Love the wharnecliffe blade. no jimping on the back of the blade, thumb rests nicely on the
blade back ( a plus during combat ). Dropped it one day and broke the tip end but put a new tip by using grinder wheel ( good as new ). Even bought a trainer knife with
the same dimensions to train with.

The overall shape appears odd at first but in the hand it's pure function.

The style is in the blade warncliffe shape and the lock and overall engineering of the knife.

Compression lock is easy to use, self adjusting, reliable, and very strong.

This knife is a great SD choice

If you like spyderco, buy this knife
No blade play at all

It's a pocket razor on steroids

I really like this folder. this is my first Compression lock experience from Spyderco, and wharncliffe is very appeal to me.

Build quality is great! I received this knife flawlessly perfect.. No complaints at all. blade is centered, no play on all sides, grippy G10, etc... and the blade open smoothly.

the ergonomics, well, it really melts in my hand on choked up grip, hammer grip, inverted hammer grip, and I don't feel the knife will lose it's grip in my hand.. it's tapered end of the handle makes it easy to retrieve from the pocket. but I only give it 9 pts because the wide part on the handle is likely snagged when I put mine in the pocket... but I do like how the design serve as a finger guard also.

build quality? it is my first Golden-made product and The build quality impresses me.

I like this folder, it is fun to play with. I never be a big fan of lanyards on my knife and this design works real well for me as edc knife. it is a precise power cutter and it is not that heavy; I would like to buy another compression lock folders!

I had to wait a few months for this kinfe, but it was worth the wait.

Specs say that it is a 3 1/8" blade. It looks much longer than that, but measures pretty close to that number. The blade is thick, but with a deep hollow grind, it isn't all that heavy. I do have worries about the durability of the tip, but this was not designed as a utility blade, you shouldn't use it as one. The shape makes it very easy to make precision cuts and I have no doubt that it would be very bad for an attacker.

The handle is a little on the small side for my large hands, but feels very secure. The bottom front of the handle will stop any possibility of your hand from sliding forward during a hard thrust. The top lock takes some getting used to, but has its advantages over a liner lock. The G10 is very grippy. No chance of this thing slipping out of your hand when covered with fluids .

I can't say anything bad about this knife other than I personally would have liked it to be a bit bigger and I am worried about the blade tip breaking off. I would recommend it to anyone that is willing to carry it as a defense knife only.
