This is one of the first Puma Knives I have really had a chance to get my hands on and use extensively. I was not expecting alot from the 440A steel, but they did a good heat treat on this blade and it held an edge like a good AUS-8. The Rest of the knife works well for a hunting utility knife. I would only recommend with the bone handle version if you are going to display the knife. The micarta version will be much better for field use with its extra traction.
