I have the 525 and have used it every day for many years. it gets
heavy use worn on the belt and subjected to lots of friction.
it is by far the best heavy use knife i have owned. I have no idea what the other reviewer was talking about in ref to the exterior finish coming off...i think he might have gotten a bad one or they had a bad batch. mine is still great!

My EDC knife is a Cold Steel 4" Voyager Tanto (the newest ambi version). Love it but a bit too thick behind a duty belt

I have owned and carried Ultratechs since 2006. I have had 3. I have never had any problems. They have all been carried extensively as last ditch defensive knives as both a private security contractor and, now, as a stay at home dad. They have never let me down. The build quality is excellent. I have three different steels( 154cm, s30v and Elmax) and all have been very sharp out of the box and held their edges well. I would not hesitate to recommend an Ultratech to anyone who needs this sort of knife.

I have had this knife for 18 months its light discreet to carry and cuts pretty well. I have even used it as a can opener when I forgot mine. Easy to sharpen with its AUS 8 blade. Just enough blade to use for cutting tasks, can be used as a last ditch cutting weapon, good ergonomics.

Comments:

The Druid 230 is a new knife from Steel Will. It is large and looks like it can handle a lot of tasks. The carving and batoning was very impressive but the chopping fell quite short of expectations and of the competition in this size range. It is just too lightweight to be an effective machete/chopping knife in my opinion.

Ghost Knives took a classic neck knife design and then upgraded and modified it to give us the Banshee. The Banshee takes the neck knife design to the next level by giving you a small compact fixed blade that comes with an awesome kydex sheath, D2 steel, and a large handle for good grip. Plus they are USA made. You can't go wrong.

I have Carried this knife for over 3 years now maybe 4 and I absolutely love this knife. This is in my pocket everyday no matter what and never leave home with out it. It has saved me in a lot of situations with just simple things. The tip is just a little weak in strength but I am also using it as not intended nut it gets the job done. I plan on buying another at some point as a back up!

This is a fantastic folder. Form and function blend to create a useful instrument, but also an object of desire. The blade is superb and the ergos of the handle "magnifique". Together with the Griptilian, I think that this a Benchmade must have. I gave a "9" to "value", though, because O have other knives that strike a better balance between "value" and "price".

Bought my Blur at Walmart. Loved my knife, but it was just recently stolen. I'm going to order another one for me and one for my son today. I' used it pretty hard. A few times I even split firewood into small pieces. I did this by pounding the blade through with another piece of wood. You could see where it passed through on the DLC on the blade, but it did not scratch it, nor did it remove it. It just made one spot slightly shiner than the rest, but the coating was essentially unharmed. I cut wire, tin cans, wood, leather, paper, very tough heavy duty boxes, and just about everything else with it. It kept a super sharp edge. All I did was strop it occasionally and once, or twice k used a very fine ceramic stone on it. It was my daily carry knife. And it had become a companion of sorts. I sort of feel out of place, or something without it. I can't wait until the new ones arrive.

Gerber used to make good knives. This particular one is a FAIL. Do not waste your money on any Gerber paraframe knife. This knife gets consistently bad reviews online from casual to hardcore knife users. Spend at least $25 on a better quality knife. I now prefer Kershaw knives for everyday use.

The Guardian3 is made out of premium materials, and is designed to fit well in a natural grip to complete all your edc tasks that you are looking to do. The Guardian3 is one unique and functional design.
