As usual Spyderco has built another winner! I have carried many knives in my life, the Endura 4 is one of the best I have carried! Everything about it is quality!

Years ago I had come across a Spyderco police knife - all stainless. I loved the knife so much that I purchased the endura - again all stainless. I have carried this knife for years, I have used and abused the endura (partially serrated version) and am very pleased by the customer service of Spyderco the quality of the craftsmen ship and how well the knife holds an edge. I have now purchased several and give them as gifts to my friends and family. The endura 4 was my latest purchase and is an excellent choice! I did rate build and value a 9 because of one endura that came apart after heavy use and the company seemed pleased that this knife was used so much, they did not bother to repair and instead sent me a brand new one so they could investigate the fault. Easy to use and the company backs up there products.

This is one well designed knife! VG10 is a wonderful steel for a folding knife. Holds and edge, and sharpens well, without even a bit of corrosion or rust. The handle is very ergonomic, and the edges are all rounded, fitting well in my pocket and kind to my hands, but the volcano grippy texture on the sides provide ample grip...even when wet. The Emerson wave is a marvelous invention, giving the user an almost fail-proof lightning presentation. I've bought three of these and given two away! If you get one and loan it out, you may loose it.

this is one fine knife. it's quick deploying with its patented emerson opener, features vg10 which is considered gold quality by the japanese, it holds an edge well and is easily resharpened, it is good for both light and heavy use. i have owned this knife for 4 or 5 years and have used it for cutting cardboard, carving wood, light chopping and removal of vegetation, and fishing. it's a great choice for carry if your personal protection is at interest.

this knife is awesome. it is razor sharp and easy to keep that way. the lock up is decent, and the lock is detented to keep from accidentally releasing during use. the pocket clip can be placed in four different carry positions, and the wave feature works much better than a lot of more expensive expensive knives.

I have 3 versions of this knife, and i am not the person to buy a knife i really don't like twice. It has all the great features the endura has with the added assisted opening.

The assisted opening works flawless, even to the point that trying to retrieve the knife without flipping the blade out is sometimes arkward. This means it will startle sheeple if you draw the knife. once drawn they have no idea why the hook is there so i tell them it's a bottle opener. This is the best, if not a better imho, alternative for an automatic knife. No springs or mechanical linkage to break, jusst clever engineering in a perfectly legal package with possibly more speed then an automatic. No need to fumble trying to find the trigger, just draw the knife and it's deployed.
