I purchased this knife 6 months ago in Amazon. I use it for everything. It is rugged and stays sharp. The coating is shows its wear. Good quality all around. I have large hands and if the handle was a bit thicker it would be more comfortable. I plan to remove the coating because I think the blade will perform better. Haven't had any rust issues. This is a strong knife that I trust to do anything I need. I bought 3 more because Ka-Bar is discontinuing them. Sheath is Kydex. It is OK and works fine. All in all this is my daily knife. It is a bit on the heavy side but very wellbuilt. I highly recommend it.

Comments:
I bought this knife on Amazon.com, since then I have used it as a throwing knife, shovel, hatchet, hammer, oh yeah and a knife, with absolutely no damage to the blade or handle. In fact the only visible damage is the reckon coating wearing off from digging. Since my first purchase I have bought three more for BOB's, my glovebox, and my buddies. I will be buying more of them in the future because I absolutely love these blades. If I could only have one knife this would be it.
