This is a big, mean looking knife. Works pretty well for normal tasks, but has the heart of a fighter. Sturdy construction, tough blade, and opens nice and smooth. The pocket clip kind of gets in the way in a normal grip. It is nice for a deep pocket carry, but I feel it when griping it tightly during fight training. It also gets in the way when reversing the grip, but this knife works best (for me) in a standard grip. The quality is top notch and the blade lock is rock solid. Hard to explain to the police that you use this one to open boxes. Totally cool looking knife.

I held every Benchmade knife in the shop - about 20 knives. This was the one I picked. Amazing ergo grip, AXIS lock, great blade design. It's heavy and thick. If you want a small knife, this isn't it. If you want something solid in your hand that you feel comfortable carrying and you know your hand isn't going to slip off of it, this is it. Easy flick opening, easy flick closing. Blade is very sharp and solid. The butt of the knife has a protruding metal section that could be useful to break glass if needed, and to...?Purchased in Rio Rancho, NM.

I love this knife.Used it and abused it.Great steel, hold a good edge. But it can rust. Used it for food, pulling staples off of stacks of papers in the office (strong tip), used it to make fire (cutting wood) used it once to pry the door open on a dodge 1500 when I locked the keys inside. It held the door open allowing me to slide in a long wire to get the keys. It has a little side to side play no big deal. And just a little up and down, it's because of the omega springs not being as strong as they used to be.The cons are I can't find a better knife to replace it with. And I'd like something new. (It replaced the Adamas I used to edc, that replaced the Zt 301...)
