I purchased this knife on clearance at a local 'Big Mart' store. It looked good in the package, and when I first pulled it out, it was not disappointing. Then, on closer inspection, I startred noticing small 'issues'. The scales were poorly fit to the frame. The aluminum scale was poorly finished in areas the package covered. However, the blade opened, locked, and closed as they should. I've since used it as a back-up knife.

After a month, the pocket clip was loose. Low and behold, the two screws couldn't be tightened. Why? They were glued in because the screw holes we slightly over size. Then, within two weeks of that, the right side grip slab laminate seperated.

So, why does it get an 8 for value? It still opens, locks, and closes perfectly, holds a wonderful edge, sharpens easily, and best of all, only cost $10!

Got as a gift, heavier than expected, but solid. Lock up is very secure and the thumb studs are well placed, rounded and easy to use. I remove the pocket clip from all my knives, but this one is well designed. Great knife!
