The gerber Evo is a good low price EDC knife. Although the materials arent that of a $60 folder, they are a good value for the price. THe handle is made of I believe alminum, which keeps the weight down significantly. THe deep-cary clip is perfect for a descreat EDC purpose. The fingerguard/quick deployment option is a very cool feature on the knife. It is made of 440 titanium nitride coated steel, so not a blade well substituted for tools (i.e. using it as a screwdriver, prybar for heavy objects, hammer). My blade has gone through some wear and tear, but the coating is still on the blade and handle. My blade came out of the box sharp, and even though 440 is not known for holding an excelent edge, it sharpens well, so its not a huge problem. Weight is fine, and the costruction of mine seemed to be up to par with all other $35 knives. This is not a workhorse knife, but its a perfect EDC knife for most anyone's needs.

this knife is a really good edc knife for under $35. the pocket clip rides really low on the pocket. blade length is almost 3 and a half inches, good for edc tasks. the edge wasnt really great out of the box, but after a good sharpening, it is as good as any spyderco. handle is nice and it is pretty light. deployment is really fast with the flipper on the spine. a little ackward at first but after a little fondling it is really good. after 3 months of solid edc use, it has a little play side to side, but it does have an adjustable pivot screw on it.

overall a really nice edc for under $35

I have been looking for a good knife for carrying for some time and this was the wrong decision. Although the blade length, serrated edge, and clip were what i was looking for, the blade quality is poor. the tip broke off during the third week i was using it and it never seems to keep a sharp edge. Overall a bad buy.
