I bought Buck Trio for different purposes. It’s lightweight but robust and convenient to carry in a pocket. Feels good in the hand. It’s well-built, razor-sharp and functional, perfect for everyday chores. I use it almost every day. I purchased another one as a gift for my father and he was really pleased. He uses it for hunting and fishing. An excellent knife for the price.

I’ve been carrying my Microtech Ultratech daily for about a year. It’s one of the best OTFs I’ve ever owned. High-quality Elmax steel, excellent ergonomics and blade geometry. Great for general cutting daily use at work and at home. It’s quite expensive though. But I think it’s worth it.

Comments:

I bought Spyderco Grasshopper over two weeks ago. I can say it’s nothing special.

The knife is easy to use for me, I can open it just with one hand. Since it’s small, you get quite a good grip on it. However, because of its size, its functionality is rather limited. What I don’t like is that blade is loose in the handle and that it has no lock. The quality leaves much to be desired as Spyderco is made of 3Cr13 steel, which is a low carbon, high chromium stainless.

I use it at work and at home to cut fruit, open boxes, things like that. But I’m thinking about buying another knife.

Comments:

The Benchmade 943 has been my EDC for over 2 months now and I’m thrilled to bits! It’s solid, beautiful and extremely light, elegant and dangerous at the same time. The blade is visually longer comparing to the handle.

The knife is fitted with an excellent Axis Lock which is very safe. It opens smooth and easy and has a great balanced feel. High-quality materials and indisputable quality of treatment and assembly – it’s all about the Benchmade 943.

Be careful, this Obsorne knife is really sharp. The blade is made of premium steel of S30V. As for the handle, it’s made of steel and covered with straps made of aircraft-grade aluminum.

I’ve heard that some people complain that a handle gets scratched over time. I don’t have any problem with that. Of course, there are some small scratches but it’s absolutely natural. The knife should work but not just lie on a shelf.

The knife is good, but, the sheath that came with this knife that has hibben stamped on the button is so cheap it literally tears like paper. Carried it 1 time and now I've got to have a new sheath made.

Found this flash11 underneath the radio equipment in the turret of a Bradley Fighting vehicle. The nut was missing from the blade pin. I repaired it and have used it for everything. The blade has a little slop but still useful. A great every day carry. Blade almost used up now.

I do like this knife. It’s cool and fun but to be completely honest I had it for three days and began having issues with the blade not fully firing and retracting. I attempted to fix it without taking it apart but had no luck whatsoever. The one I have is a black anodized drop point satin blade with plain edge really good looking but with the reliability issues and the price I paid for it to break that fast. I did contact Microtech and they responded within 24 hours and was able to get it out for repairs and it’s been about 3 weeks and it’s being shipped back to me.if anyone knows how to fix the issues I had without taking the knife apart in case me or someone else has this issue please comment on this

I own this knife now for over 2 years. I did buy it specialy because of it's intended use. I own and use about 35 diferent knives. Most designed for tactical and/or Law enforcement use. From light to real heavy duty. Due to the national law and regulation, edc'ing a folder is no problem, unless you get to certain area's. But.. back to the knife. I was searching for a razor sharp "tactical" folder that i could carry descrete with my suit during certain assignments. Small, but bigg enoug to get the job done when it is needed. I prefer N690 co steel because of the razor edge i can get on that stuff without to much problems. After a search i found what did meet up with my wishes and more. The ER BF2 ct. The quality of the design, the fit and finish, the choice of materials used, the liner lock with the extra security feature, the deep carry pocketclip. I love it. Is a tactical blade, more then capable of what i did buy it for. The edge is razor sharp from factory. I light stropping run made my personal finishing touch. It is not to heavy to carry in the pants of a suit. I think it is a solid built knife. It doesnt draw attention from your surroundings, even not when it is closed on the table of a restaurant. But opened.. wauw. The design of the handlescales is typical. Smooth and not destructive for clothing, but due to the ergonomics you will have more then enough grip. The coating of all parts is very well done and very durable. Edge retention is normal for the steel used. Resharpening is no difficulty if you know how to sharpen a tanto blade. The size is just perfect for me. All in all. A great knife usable for many tasks. From kitchen to tactical. From gentleman to lawenforcement. After 2 years of use my knife is still doing perfect with minor maintenance. Worth every cent.

Comments:

I purchased my first Schrade "Old Timer" Sharpfinger in 1980. This was (and still is) the iconic knife on the belts of many hunters and campers in the woods of Northern Michigan. The knife is ergonomic in my hands and has the full tang through the handle. My Sharpfinger dressed many deer in its day. The blade is not hollow ground like Buck knife blades are. That makes it quick and easy to sharpen. I purchased a Buck 194 Alpha Hunter back in the late 1990s. It is a beautiful knife to look at, but it is a big job to clean after dressing out a deer! My old Sharpfinger was easy to clean after dressing and skinning because of it's streamlined shape and clean edges. Over the years, the blade has been stained in spots from the leather sheath, but it still keeps a razor sharp edge. The Sharpfinger's blade will dull quicker than a hollow ground edge, but quickly sharpens with a diamond sharpener, and keeps a sharp edge with an occasional stropping on leather. I wouldn't recommend it as a fillet knife; the blade is too thick and short.

The old leather sheath is no great shakes in quality, the leather is thin, but it still does the job well with good knife retention. In my opinion, this is the best hunting knife I've owned. I've been looking at purchasing another one and I was surprised at how affordable they are. Maybe because they're now made overseas; probably China.

I really like this knife. It holds an edge good and sharpens pretty easy. I like the way it fits in my hand and I like the way you can easily open it with one hand. I still wish it had an notch on the blade to open with with two hands when I wanted to. I removed the clip because I prefere to carry it in my pocket and it irritated me. It's good to have thou for people who want to use the clip. I like how light it is while still being a sturdy knife. I will likely carry for a long time.

This is my first Scandi and I thought I would love it.. But, I think it's too thick. I tend to reach for my mini Bushlore to slice and carve over my Rb3. Out in the woods I feel myself wanting my Esee 6 as primary over my Rb3.. I'm gonna keep trying to love this knifefor little bit longer but I think I'm finally realizing my wants and needs in a blade... Got rid of my 3hm for $60 to get my Rb3.. I regret it
