Great knife with solid lock up and deployment, blade material is good as is the quality and craftsmanship. Could have been sharper from the factory, and is somewhat bulky in its width. Other than that this knife really fits the bill.

This is definitely in my top three for EDC knives under $70. (Delica and Mini Griptilian being the others) I'll start with the Skylines best feature in my opinion, the handle. The shape of the handle fits my hand like a glove. The large "Choil" area near the front aids in an excellent grip on the knife. The G-10 scales are also great. They have the right amount of texture. Another great thing is the weight. Kershaw built this knife with only one liner, the lock side. Making it thinner and lighter. The lock up and strength IMO have not suffered from the absent liner, infact it has the second best lock up of all my knives (Mini Grip is better)The clip is actually my favorite clip design. I'm pretty sure it was designed after the Strider clips. It is great because it is strong and fully adequate, but it is shorter than any other knife clip I own.The blade is also great. Kershaw packed a lot of blade in this small package. The flipper makes opening fun and easy. The thumb studs, I think, are not designed for opening the knife, just as a blade stop, which they do wonderfully. The 14c28n sandvik steel is also excellent for edc purposes. I'd put the edge retention a half notch below Spydercos VG-10. If you're looking for a heavy use edc, this may not be the knife for you, but for normal tasks it is perfect. And USA made to boot!

Just a completely unimpressive knife, as are most Gerbers that I have used. The fit and finish of the handle is poor, there a blemishes all over. The blade doesn't hold an edge very well, considering it is "400 series" steel I can see why. I bought this, and much of my other Gerbers before I knew anything about knives. For the same price you can get a Byrd or a Kabar Dozier, both are miles ahead of this knife.

An absolutely amazing knife for the money. I have the G-10 version. The 8cr13mov steel is perfectly adequate for an EDC blade, and the blade shape is near perfect, as is the handle shape, love this knife. The clip is near perfect as well, sturdy, looks good, not too tight, and not too loose. If you have the money buy the Delica, or just buy this and the Cara Cara for the price of the Delica.

The knife is too small and strangely designed to be functional. I am glad I spent so little on it, as its shape does not lend itself to either stabbing or slashing. A small knife with a poor shape!

I picked this up at Cabelas for $17 when they were being discontinued. The overall fit and finish of the knife was excellent, no blemishes, unevenness or any thing negative except the pocket clip. The clip is a deep carry clip, and although I don't mind that, it's not a big deal to me. The problem with the clip is that it is rather weak, I have already broke one. The knife came razor sharp, the 9cr13mov Chinese steel is actually been really good. Holds an edge slightly better than my other knives in 8cr13mov. The grip I can get on this knife is pretty good, fits my hand great. And because of this knife, I now love the "Spyder" hole way more than any thumbstud. The only other problem with this knife is that I love it so much. More of a problem for benchmade than for me. A problem for them because it was modelled after spyderco knives, and BM doesn't make many more in this style, so naturally I bought some Spydercos. This knife can still be found under BM's HK and HD lines, if you want a great knife for a great price, check out the Pika II.

This is a bigger EDC or Light Duty Outdoor knife. The blade is 3 3/4" (9cm) long. The steel is 420 HC. When I first got it I was worried about the steel because I had a knife using really bad 420 steel. Totally not the case. It's corrosion resistant (took it to the sea side for 2 weeks), easy to sharpen and holds a good edge. The blade is hollow ground which I like. Good thumbstuds too. The handle is made of plastic and is pretty durable. What I did not like were the sharp edges on the handle. I used some sandpaper but they are still there. Also the blade centering on mine is off and you can't adjust it because it is a pinned construction. Lock up is pretty good, it's a lock back. Since I have done some woodsplitting for campfires it has some wiggle up and down. The clip is very good in my opinion. It's strong and carries pretty deep. But it's only tip up carry and no reversible to the left side.Overall I love my Buck Bantam BHW. Really good choice for a high value folder.

Time in use: I had this Emerson for about 3 years. Function: I started carrying the super K-bit primarily as a dedicated self defense knife. I signed up for a pass around in one of the forums. To participate, you knew you were getting an Emerson just not which one. A super K-bit arrived, so I started carrying it EDC. In Indonesia, the K-bit is a utility knife. I usually carry a few knives on me everyday but to test it, I went exclusive, I don't pry things with my knives, broken tips are not a problem. I opened boxes (with staples), cut rope, clothing (retired LEO/EMT), fuzz sticks, and pumpkins (absolutely perfect for this job). Performed perfect.Fit and Finish: Both super K-bits were flawless. The lock up was perfect. The wave makes this type of knife very easy to use. The liner lock is very thick almost like a frame lock. I experienced zero blade play on both models.Sharpening: I actually don't have a problem. I think it's easier. I sharpen the "angled" side on the Spyderco Sharp maker at the 30 degree. I take the flat side an lay it flat on the ceramic rods. While keeping it flat against the rod, I pass it up and down the rod the same number of times I did the other side of the blade. The I take the flat side on the cardboard on a notebook. Scary sharp every time. It takes me about 4 minutes to sharpen it. The 154 CM is really treated very well.Final: It carries easy and exhibits excellent performance. Compared to other K-bits I own, it is a bargain.

The handle on this knife is too small, and very uncomfortable to hold because of the upper design of the handle. Should be rounded with no knobby protrusions that bite into your palm !

Purchased based on other reviews. I suppose it's ok, but is less than what I expected. Biggest concerns are that lock up allows for some movement. Blade shape is excellent. Clip is excellent and allows for deep carry. Deployment is excellent. Thumb jumping is not as grippy as I was expecting, but the body is large enough to gain a firm purchase. Wish it had a lanyard hole. Good overall, but not the wow I was expecting based on all of the reviews, but good value for the $$.

Excellent knife. VG-10. Fantastic ergonomics..grip is awesome. Fit's very good in multiple positions. No way it'll slip due to design and aggressive jimping. Deep carry clip can be mounted on either side, but only tip up carry. Has a large lanyard hole. Deployment is smooth with zero movement on lock up. Very large thumb hole for deployment, but a simple flick of your wrist is enough, but it is held well in the closed position.
