The S1 has a lot to offer in a field knife. The convex grind is amazing, and the stainless steel VG-10 is going to do well in humid environments. The handle is a little thin and short, but will fit most hands. The zytel sheath is garbage, go with the leather.

Love the wharnecliffe blade. no jimping on the back of the blade, thumb rests nicely on the
blade back ( a plus during combat ). Dropped it one day and broke the tip end but put a new tip by using grinder wheel ( good as new ). Even bought a trainer knife with
the same dimensions to train with.

Comments:

Works perfectly. Everything i've come to expect from a Benchmade knife. The one imperfection has been a scraping sound coming from the firing button, sometimes slowing down the opening a bit if i forget to push firmly and straight down. This imperfection seems to be disappearing as i use it and continue to lubricate and clean it. Although the price point was high i didn't hesitate to buy a second plain-edge satin AFO II to keep NIB for future sale/as an investment. I'd buy it over again despite the slight noise.

SAY Heah Everybody, and Happy New Years, Yeah, The SISU is defenetly a beauty,A very similar to a Finish Top of the Line Finish Design. A real nice knife that works wood great, I could see why it didn't hit the top because of the orice, I think alot of guy's would love to have one but it's not affirdable. But it is the top of the line the way it's made and the material used. It's like the Bugatti Sports Car, not everybody can afford one. But the SISU is a great knife, and if more guys could afford it, I know they would review it very high, It is a Beautiful, Great Functioning Knife. I'm just glad I have one, and it's great, I enjoy using it and it preforms fantastically, I just wish that more could experience how good it is.

The Argonaut 800 is design as a lightweight Field Knife. I can preform amazingly well in those tasks. The Ergos are great, the AUS-8 Steel has a good heat treat, and design gets work done. If you like the Cold Steel SRK, this one you will like even more.

I got this knife because it has safety lock that will (I'm pretty sure) prevent my toddlers from opening it if somehow they ever get a hold of the knife. From owning other SOG knives, I knew this feature was going to be good for that purpose. Very light and good deep clip. The opening switch rattles, which is annoying.

-Price Paid: $99.00

Comments:

I own a very extensive collection of folding knives designed for self defence as well as possibly for daily use: these include anything from inexpensive folding hunting knives to oriental specialities to aristocratic European weapons. Compared to these knives, I like Cold Steel TI Lite quite a lot. It is simple, light for daily carry, good proportion of folded length to blade length (I have 6 in model), and overall effective for desired purpose. Handle fits the hand and feels quite well but ergonomically it is rather marginal. I have a real problem with the steel quality. It does not hold the edge at all. I know that it was not really meant for cutting but since I have it on me all the time, sometimes I need to cut a piece of bread or cheese. I do not understand how could this knife loose its edge so fast. I own many Cold Steel knives but did not have this problem with any of them. I use sharpening tools of all kinds from simple to sophisticated stone sets to steels to professional top quality electric sharpening machines. After my TI Lite lost the factory edge, I never managed to get it sharp to my standards again. I am considering to move to another Cold Steel knife.

Without a doubt, this is the best pocket knife I have owned. The wharncliff is a versatile edge design. The speed safe opening is smooth and perfect. The lock is solid. The ergonomics are fantastic but more appropriate for smaller hands. This little guy is tough as nails to boot.

Until you get used to opening this knife, it is a little dangerous to ope. I cut my thumb trying to get it open. After that this knife is sturdy, easy to maintain and easily affordable. A rare Scandinavian grind folder and well executed to boot. Not the best for general edc use, but fantastic for working in the woods.

This is simple knife with a simple design and a simple mindset. It is durable beyond compare and versatile due to its simplicity. It is ruggedly built with no single purpose in mind so it is well equipped to handle most anything. It's thickness does get in the way, however. The very thing that makes it so durable is what limits some aspects of its versatility.
