I did some light chopping and was pleased overall until I tried chopping a deer leg bone. Major blade damage as a result of this. Blade was not hardened properly. Too bad wanted to like it.

I use this knife as EDC. No comfort problems with the finger studs or grip unless wearing light/thin pants and certainly don't need gloves as I have used this knife extended periods while camping for both fire and food prep. Had it for 2 years and only sharpened once as it keeps a great edge. Deployment is solid just needed to keep it clean and added "Getsome1000" after use in marine environment as it was exposed to salt water. Never let me down once.

I own several Case folding knives, and every one I have is a well made, smooth and solid knife...The Trapperlock is the smoothest and most easily opened one hander I have had, and I'm 69 years old and carried a pocket knife since late grade school... Great to handle, great to look at...a LITTLE to thin to be 100% comfortable in my hand (personal)....but it became my favorite...I just ordered a second one today.

This knife has proven it's self time and time again in heavy daily carry. I've owned and used one almost daily for well over a yr. I bought for less than many name brand Chinese line of knifes. This knife out does them all in fit finish and materials used in it and it's USA made.

The ergonomics are spot on and fit my hand perfectly.Made from 14c28mn stainless is another plus. I rank it over 8A, vg-10 any day of the week in its being one of the very best general purpose steel ever made.Never had it chip, stain or rust and easily can be sharpened to mirror edge perfection.

If you're looking for a excellent EDC buy one of these you would be disappointed at all I think.

I love this knife. It carries as well as any Kershaw I have owned, but shows like a gentleman's knife. From afar it has a Sebenza type look to it with the pattern machined Ti scales. 8Cr13MoV is nothing to write home to your mom about, but holds an ok edge and only takes a few quick passes on my sharpmaker to clean up the edge.

Bought this used a few months ago, and I like it a lot. I keep it in my glove box in case of emergency as it really is a seat belt cutter. I wouldn't call it a knife really. I have only cut rope with it so far, but the edge is serrated so it did a real nice job. Good seat belt cutter, worth having in your car in case you find yourself in an emergency situation.

Cheap but usable fixed blade, small which is good for the weight conscious. Carry it on my hikes sometimes instead of a folder. 440C so the steel is nothing too special but it works and is easy to sharpen. Comfortable in hand for its size, worth the 40 bucks I paid.

Great knife, innovative design, excellent materials. I think they are discontinued for the most part now, although if I recall correctly Spyderco still occasionally does a sprint run. The ergos take some getting used to but once you "get it" this knife feels and cuts nice.

Spyderco's take on a budget fixed blade, although it's not so budget. Was given to me as a gift, and it's ok. For the money I'd get an ESEE though since you get Micarta over the FRN and 1095 over the VG-10 (VG-10 is great no doubt but carbon steel is superior for this knife style).

This is an extremely useful rescue knife that I keep on me at all times when out in the wilderness. The blunt tip is perfect as it doesn't compromise cutting edge. The straight edge is awesome as well as it makes cutting predictable and slip free. The blade is mostly serrated, which is what I'd want in a rescue knife...great for cutting clothes, straps, ropes, etc. Visible orange FRN, lockback, spyderhole deployment and VG-10 are all great. Another feature that's interesting (although admittedly I don't use it all too often) are the finger grooves on the spine of the blade which allows you to squeeze the handle and the blade together to cut rope. Overall top notch for a rescue knife and the price is right for a VG-10 knife.

Great knife with a lot of cool features. 4" blade with a dual ground tanto is really nice. It feels nice in hand with a rather steep thumb ramp which pairs nicely with the tanto blade for piercing. I tend to prefer G10 over other handle materials so this handle suits me well. The lock is nice and tight with no wiggle. Overall, great knife. Perhaps my only complaint is that it's time consuming to sharpen since the blade is sort of recurved.

this knife was bought as my entry into the "high end" folder market, and as such i wanted a knife that could fit into any roll well (assuming that the trade-off would be that it is a master of none) however i was surprised to see that a moderately sized folder could be this light, strong, comfortable and good looking. it is light, so light i don't feel it in my pocket but it has just enough body mass to remind you its still there the blade of nearly 3.5 inches is perfect for any task i set out to do (as a EDC user) and its most important job as a toy to play with is done very well (over a year in my pocket and i still love playing with it) it is extremely well balanced and i would not hesitate to buy another. also the compression lock is a welcome depart from all the frame/liner locks out there and is lefty friendly (if you are a lefty like me, look no further) all in all i would recommend this to anyone looking for a quality, versatile folder in the $100-$150 range, you wont regret it
