This knife is a MUST HAVE for the out door enthusiast or for an EDC. Take it from a guy who goes nuclear on how hard he works a knife. The way it processes small game (excluding fish) is astounding. The scandi grind makes wood working simple. If you have any doubts...don't. The 1095 is stupid easy to touch up the edge back to hair popping sharpness. The only draw back is the sheath. The kydex is great but the fitment could be a bit easier on the release.

First, I'm not sure what the occupation is of the gentleman who "Rated" a few of the knives crafted by CRKT. I suspect he is a Cop, because I am too. All the knives on his Rating Chart could easily be Used in an On Duty Carry "Best of" Article. I would NEVER criticize a Fellow Cop, (If he is one) all have their favorites. But The Knife I have is VERY well balanced, and holds an edge like a champ. (If you know how to sharpen it) I have cleaned as many as 3 deer in one day with my knife. No Problems.
This entire line of Quality Knives is designed by Russell Kommer Custom Knives. Highly recommended!!

THE COLTS STICK WELL. THEY FLY THROUGH THE AIR GREAT. FOR A LIMITED USE, THEY CAN'T BE BEATEN. HOWEVER, THE DURABLITY LACKS MY LIKING IN A PRACTICE THROWING KNIFE. FOR PRACTICE, I WOULD RECCOMEND A THICKER KNIFE. FOR SELF DEFENSE. HIGHLY RECCOMENDED
A RUKO 9 INCH WORKS BETTER FOR ME IN PRACTICE THROWING SESSIONS. THE END OF DAYS RUKOS ARE FANTASTIC THROWERS. THEY ARE NEARLY UNBREAKABLE. ALTHOUGH , THE COLTS STICK EVEN BETTER. NOW AT 13 FEET , I CAN STICK THE RUKO 4 0F 6 TIMES ALWAYS OR BETTER.
THE FIRST THROW OF MY COLTS SET, I STUCK ALL THREE THE VERY FIRST THROW. MY FRIEND DID THE SAME , BUT TWO OF THREE STUCK HIS FIRST THROW. THEY KEPT STICKING WELL AFTER TOO. HOWEVER, I STARTED NOTICING DAMAGE ON THEM RIGHT AWAY. ONCE AGAIN GREAT FOR LIMITED USE. BUT NOT SO GOOD FOR LOADS OF PRACTICING. THE STEEL IS HARD AND STRONG. THOUGH THEY ARE VERY THIN. THE THINNESS ACCOUNTS FOR THE GOOD FLIGHT IN THE AIR TO THE TARGET.
TRY THESE COLTS, GREAT PROTECTION. AND GREAT VALUE. THEY STICK LIKE NO OTHER I'VE SEEN SO FAR AS A PRO THROWER MYSELF.

Great knife I use it everyday when it comes to opening cans of soup or tuna to opening packages to using it at work. Its has all the tools for a edc carry. I own over 50 knives and this is my go to edc knife everyday. I love how its a sturdy ss blade. Its made very well by a company who cares about quality. The size is perfect. Its not to big and has all the right tools. I strongly suggest the recruit because i sure have enjoyed it

I own over 100 knives. I've searched high and low for the perfect general duty/EDC knife. After over a decade of carrying nearly a plethora of different knives, I think I may have found the perfect EDC.
The Al Mar Falcon Ultralight is so short, so thin and so light that from day one, I literally did not know I was carrying it. This knife is so unobtrusive, I have to physically check to see if I have it with me!
Furthermore, this knife is very pleasing to the eye, and the design is very functional. Fit and finish is some of the best I've seen on a production knife.
There are a few--not so positive things, but they are not deal breakers. The blade is Aus8 steel; it's on par with 440c, so it's not great, but it's still good and acceptable. The knife is of pinned construction and cannot be taken apart. In the end, the negatives do not outweigh the positives.
This knife is definitely a keeper.

Just thought I'd add a little update. I'm still carrying this knife; it's like you always have a knife on you, but it's so insanely small, thin and light that you don't have to carry anything.

The Shango was designed by famed knife designer Joe Flowers and is designed to be the perfect, do everything, neck knife. The options and extras that it comes with are nice and the quality is very high. It is a little pricy for a knife of its size, but it can do a lot for you. If you are in the market for a small fixed blade and can afford it, this is a great knife to have with you everywhere you go.

Great knife. My only two complaints are: the scales, although not painful to my hands it has done damage to my pockets. Next where the blade comes in contact with the locking bar. The m4 steel has worn a small groove in the locking bar. Doesn't affect the ability to lock. Overall my favorite edc. I would recomend this knife to anyone.

I got this knife to replace an old knife i had lost. I needed something that was sharp, something easy to open, and something I could abuse and it would take it. THIS IS YOUR KNIFE! I am very happy with it. It holds it edge quite well, opens very very fast, locks securely, and there isn't even a scratch on the blade. I am very harsh on knives, and for this one to be still kicking with now scratches makes me very happy.
Get one, you will love it.

Very handy knife. Has many useful tools on it. Saw is incredible. Screw drivers have held up to more force than I thought they would. Knife is good, but I wouldn't push it past light duty. That's what the Buck knife is for. 25 year warranty.

I carry mine daily. I use it daily. I would be lost without it.

Was looking for a good all-around outdoors knife. Wanted full tang and good steel. After researching online, the BK family of knives, now owned by Kabar, seemed universally well regarded. I ordered the BK7 as I prefer 5 to 7" blade lengths in a multi-purpose knife.

The knife has done everything I've asked of it. From fuzz sticks to chopping wood for fire, it has done all well. The steel takes a good edge and holds it. The blade is coated, which protects the steel from rust. The handle is not uncomfortable, but I have held better. Handle material is slick, but I haven't had a problem with it.

This is a large knife, with a heavy blade, so it will not be the best knife for some tasks. But I have found that it works well for most tasks.
