Rebar is your basic multitool with lockable tools/blades. Pliers have replaceable cutter bits with a wire striper slot. Rebar has your basic tools, straight and serrated blades, saw, awl, two flat and one phillips screw driver and can opener. For me the smallest flat head was still too wide/thick so I grinded it down to about 1/3 of the original width and about half of the thickness (screws of eye glasses you know).

It's not very often you get a multitool without scissors, but Rebar doesn't have those (nor do I miss them). For this price, Rebar is a solid multiool but it comes with a crappy nylon pouch.

This is one of the best designed and constructed knives I have ever owned. This is my "middle of the road knife" between my ESEE 5 and my ESEE Izula. I have the Original made by Ontario, I read a review that the buyer had a bad experience with his, but mine came razor sharp, the finish has held up perfectly and I have yet to find a flaw with this knife. The small pry bar on the end, the bottle opener have all been well used and abused on numerous campouts with no problems. The DeSantis sheath holds the HEST securly and is Molle compatible. The handle scales have hollowed space that I use to keep a small ferro rod a small piece of hacksaw blade and three tinder tabs. I have attached a small washer on the lanyard to be able to remove the scales if a screwdriver isn't handy.

It is small enough for close up delicate work like making feather sticks, but beefy enough to baton with. I carry mine on my backpack shoulder strap horizontally and it has never slipped out of the sheath and is easily accessible. If I was forced to have only one knife this is the one I want.

I bought the Esee Izula after reading several reviews and comparing them to other similar knives. Mine is desert tan. I have wrapped the handle with paracord and made a paracord neck lanyard to be able to carry this everyday as a neck knife. It is lightweight and it stays in the sheath even inverted all day.

I use on everything from small campsite projects to preparing dinner. I love the 1095 steel for ease of sharpening and edge retention.

I wear it under what ever shirt I am wearing and most people never know I have it, until they asked to borrow a knife. I bought one for my daughter to carry in pink (also wrapped the handle with pink paracord) She sometimes works until after dark and she can wear it unnoticed until she needs it. This is the best neck knife ever and part of my EDC.

I love this knife, I have added a large Tek-Lok to the sheath to be able "scout carry" I also have an Esee accessory pouch with a survival tin along with a kydex firesteel sheath. This is my "go to" knife for all outdoor activities. I have put it through the ringer as a bushcraftknife, a cooking knife and a large game skinning knife. It takes and holds an edge perfectly. I saw a review that it isn't ergonamically comfortable, but I think that my just be a personal preference, everyone that has used mine has purchased one of their own. As for chopping,I don't think it is designed to be a"chopper", the point of balance is too near the center for much more than trimming smaller branches one handed. If you are looking for a great longer heavy blade for chopping I suggest the Ontario SP-8. I have used my Esee -5 it to notch tent pegs and I have had no issues batoning with it, the weight and thickness of the blade make it an all around great outdoor knife. I have not yet tried the bow drill divot so I can't comment on it's effectivness.

I would (and have) recommend this knife to any serious outdoorsman, or even a part time camper. It stays with me in my truck as part of my Get Home gear. Sort of like American Express I don't leave home without it. Great job Esee Knives!

I use this knife for elk and deer hunting. I skinned, boned and cut up an entire elk with one sharpening. It remains sharper than other mid priced knives. Excellent feel and quality.

i have one of this special knife and this is my favourite.this blade shape is very strange but absolutely usable and extrememely comfortable, thanks for the extreme deep index finger coil.the 6mm wide blade is undistructible.i have a tom brown tracker t1 too and i love that knife but the t1 is too big for everyday carry in the city but the trail maker is not.if i want to choose one knife for any survival or buschraft situation i choose the tops american trail maker

I have had my eye on the Anaconda 7B for a while now. After about a dozen different trips with hard use tests and can say that the knife is very tough and very capable as a survival knife. The ergonomic is what killed it for me. The handle is very large and I wear Large Size gloves. After about 5 minutes of cutting me hands became fatigued and started to ache. My buddy with XL Size hands really like it though.

Great knife. Love the curved blade. Serrations are great sometimes, but sometimes I'd like a plain edge. Guess you can't have it both ways. I've had this knife for a few years. It has held up very well. I've cut a lot of things with it. It has always performed well. It is Still sharp too!!! Mine doesn't have the triad lock. I wish it did. Also, I'd have used a larger pivot pin. But there have been no problems with the one in it. The Blade is still tight.
Overall I'd rate it a 8-9 on any scale. I'm not sure there really is a perfect 10. If there is, it's probably too pretty and expensive to use!!! And I really use my knives, firearms, and tools hard. I use them for what they were intended for. But I try not to abuse them, unless it's unavoidable.

Ive used this knife in my last two tours, and it has saved my life more than once. dosent hold a razor edge the best, but its a thick knife so i wasn't expecting it to hold a razor edge for very long. That being said, it is an amazing knife and well worth the money,

This is a fantastic EDC knife! US made, great overall estatics with a beautifull handle and blade shape while still beeing very functional. Probably the smoothest opengin knive i have seen to date in production blades. The only thing i would like Benchmade to change in the constructin is that the pivit screws can loosen up over time which results in a little blade play. When tightening the screws, you have to be carefull because if they are too tight the blade does not open as butterly smooths as you would expect - or not at all if you tighten it all the way. Maybe a look at the Spyderco Paramilitary 2's design in that respect could help.
Still because of it's beautiy, lightweight and great materials a great 10/10 from me.

Even at this rather steep price point for a production blade i have to say it delivers on all fronts. I am a fan of US produced knifes and willing to pay for it. When it comes to quality ths is probably the best knife i own. It's flawless in construction and functionality. The lock is great too and what really stands out is that the pivit can be extreme tight without compromising on the smoothness of the opening mechanics. This truly outperforms a lot far more expensive blades- can tell from experiance.
