Right off the bat, I have to say that I love the edge on this knife -- mirror-polished

A great tool able to handle medium duties well. In fact, mine once rescued a maintenance man from a jammed elevator not long ago. Everyday this tool finds use.
I do edc my wave along with my zt 0801, saving the zt blade from tough utility roles better served by the wave. It's three inch fully serrated blade and its other clip point edge handles cutting chores.

It has a micro phillips and plain screwdriver. A medium phillips and large plain type. A saw, a file with metal filing side and diamond grit side. Pliers with various places to cut wire round out the tools....plus an aftermarket pocket clip.

The SP-8 has been around for awhile and to be honest I was not expecting a lot from this blade. It has a squared off tip, and a large space between the handle and the cutting edge. Man was I wrong, this thing is a beast and for under $50 a mind blowing value.

Just bought this knife, always loved the classic look of this blade.
over all i am very happy with the knife but have some concerns about the build quality...
upon further scrutiny i have noticed a gap on the back of the knife (spine) between the bolster and spine...the gap runs all the way down the knife...if i could submit a pic i would.
Also the knife is not aligned very well when closed.
Wish buck will take this seriously as i plan to have this baby a lifetime.
Thanks for reading.

The Backpacker is design as a lightweight, stainless steel, compact, neck knife that can go with you everywhere. Especially out in the wilderness on you backpacking trips where you have limited space and weight.

The overall shape appears odd at first but in the hand it's pure function.

The style is in the blade warncliffe shape and the lock and overall engineering of the knife.

Compression lock is easy to use, self adjusting, reliable, and very strong.

This knife is a great SD choice

If you like spyderco, buy this knife
No blade play at all

It's a pocket razor on steroids

I bought this knife off of a friend who was going to return it to the Amazon seller he bought it from but I decided to buy it off of him. His complaint was that the knife was too big for him so I paid him what he paid for it. I have not regretted buying it.

The knife came very sharp and I actually shaved some hair off my arm with it. The lock up was very firm there was no play side to side or up and down. And the knife felt nice in my hand with the exception of the serrations on the handle were not very effective. The knife opens readily and does not shake out. Over all I am very happy with the knife.

This knife is AWESOME!! Fit and finish are outstanding...the linerlock is thick and sturdy, and it locks up nice and early...I describe this knife as a gentleman's folder built like a tactical knife, G10, Elmax, screwed together not riveted, simply an amazing knife...perfect weight as well, not too light, not too heavy...can't say enough nice things about it!

This is a great knife for general cutting tasks but sadly it is a little let down, it is a uk legal EDC knife which is great, it has a very sturdy retention and a moveable thumb stud, the pocket clip can be changed for right or left pocket carry but only tip up, it uses 440c stainless steel for the blade and G10 for the grips which actually don't supply much in terms of grip. Out of the box it was impressively sharpe but not as sharp as the spyderco UKPK or the Squeak. The knife has a pretty nice look but it may not be great for UK EDC as it could seem a little aggressive to most. The retention is really stiff and makes this hard to open with one hand, the knife is easy to sharpen and was up to most cutting tasks. My biggest put down is the lack of a hole for a lanyard and the price, sadly to get a UK legal EDC knife there is usually quite an over price, I personally think even Victorinox is now becomeing too expensive and I buy most knives now used or second hand for that reason.

The Finn Wolf is a pocket knife with one task in mind. Woods use. This is a true scandi grind knife that is tough, ergonomic, and cheap. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a pocket knife to use in the woods.
